35th Sultan Phugdalun Kiram II and his retinue travelled to China in September 2018. The 35th Sultan re-united to join his historic relatives, the Ans and Wens, in the Celebrations of the Historic 600 Years Death Anniversary and Observance of the China-Sulu Alliance established between the Celestial Empire of China and the Eastern Kingdom of Sulu after signing the Treaty known as The Treaty in the Status of an Independent Tributary States in 1405 between the Two Kingdoms.
The 35th Sultan of Sulu's trip was coordinated by Mr. Pastor "Boy" Saycon with the Philippine Department of Foreign affairs under then Sec. Alan Peter Cayetano, who arranged the 35th Sultan of Sulu's China Trip with the Chinese Embassy in Makati City including their accomodations in Beijing and Shandong Province, China.
A prayer rendered by descendants, Ans and Wens, during the 600 Years Death Anniversary of East King of Sulu, Paduka Maulana Mahashari Pahala, sanctioned by the Chinese Government in September 2017.
He died at the Biejing Grand Canal after being infected with serious illness on his journey back to Sulu after paying a 17 Day Visit to Emperor Yong Le of the Ming Dynasty. He was buried in Dezhou City, Shandong Province, China, with Imperial Honor bestowed during his death and burial by Emperor Yong Le by sending members of the Emperor's high officials to mourn the Death of the East King of Sulu.
The September 2017 Joint Celebration of the East King of Sulu's Death Anniversary and the China-Sulu Alliance was attended by 35th Sultan Phugdalun Kiram and his Royal Retinue arranged by Pastor "Boy" Saycon with the DFA under then Sec. Alan Peter Cayetano.

Heirs of Sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo Visited China Gallery
A year and six months after Sultan Phugdalun Kiram II's formal and official installation and coronation as 35th Sultan of Sulu and North Borneo in a public ceremony held at the Sulu Provincial Capitol, Jolo, Sulu, on February 6, 20 16, to succeed 33rd Sultan Jamalul Kiram III, 34th Sultan Esmail Kiram II, and Crown Prince (Datu Raja Muda) Agbimuddin Kiram, he travelled to China with official notification served to the Pilippine Governemt thru the Department of Foreign Affairs headed then by former Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Allan Peter Cayetano, the present Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The present and reigning 35th Sultan Phugdalun Kiram II's travel to China was to join his Historic Relatives, the ANS and WEN, spread out to over 20 generations at present throughout the People's Republic of China in the celebration and observation of the Historic 600 Years Death Anniversary of their ancestors, the East King of Sulu Paduka Mahashari Pahala, who was buried in Dezhou City, Shandong Province, China, and the Historic Sulu-China Relations Friendship Beyond Borders from September 12 to 15, 2017.

His Royal Retinue included Dayang Dayang Sitti Krishna Kiram (Idjirani), Dayang Dayang Putlih Shieha Kiram (Julkipli), Dayang Dayang Sheramar Tulawie Kiram, Dayang Dayang Sitti Ruaina "Ruru" Kiram, Princess Jacel Kiram, Molly Julkipli, Roel C. Catimbang, Alive Bakili, Yusop Hassan, Sally Argano, Sulu Sultanate Secretary General, Abraham J. Idjirani, and late Pastor "Boy" Saycon, who communicated, arranged and sought the government's assistance for the Sultan's Trip to China. During the event, Dayang Dayang Sh-Vethlana Kiram, Princess Carolina Julkanain and late Hadja Lady Rasul-Tañedo joined also the historic celebration
On celebration day, September 13, 2016, members of their Historic Relatives, the Ans and Wens, assigned a specific area for the 35th Sultan of Sulu and North Borneo to get off from the transport service and already lined up in both sides of the road.
35th Sultan Phugdalun Kiram II and His Retinue walked from the area nearly 2,000 meters away to the Historic Tomb of the Sulu East King Paduka Mahashari Maulana Pahala. He was welcomed with great joy and pride feeling the unity and their reunion after 600 years. Prior to the 35th Sultan's visit, late 34th Sultan Esmail Kiram II already visited their Historic Relatives comprising only of 18th generations in 1995 followed by 33rd Sultan Jamalul Kiram III in 1977.
After the prayer observance, 35th Sultan Phugdalun Kiram II was toured and accompanied by the Family Patriarch of the Ans and Wens to the East King Sultan Museum. They were led initially to the almost 3 meters by 5 meters 600 Years Old Sulu Royal Family Genealogy posted in the museum's wall. The family genealogy showed names of the 13 Royal Children of late 32nd Sultan Punjungan Kiram, 31st Sultan Esmail Kiram 1, Princesses Tarhata Kiram and Sakinur-Inn Kiram.
From the museum, 35th Sultan Phugdalun Kiram II was guided to the stage before Chinese President Xi Jinping spoke by video and mentioned Sulu for eight times. At the culmination of the celebration, the 35th Sultan hand over the Sulu Sultanate Books to the Patriach of the Ans and Wens.
